I’m Monica — the artist behind Monica Elena Atelier.

I grew up between cultures, languages, and perspectives - seven countries, two engineer parents, and a home that was somehow always full of books, music, and art.

There was structure. But there was also wonder.

For a long time, I didn't think there was space for my way of creating. It felt quieter than most - more observational, harder to name. Not something that fit neatly into a category.

But over time, I came to understand that this quietness is something many people carry too.

The small moments that stay with you. A certain light in a room. A feeling you can't quite explain, but recognize the instant you meet it.

My work begins there.

The Work

Each piece is rooted in memory - often from early years - but not as a fixed story. More as a feeling. A perspective. Something gently familiar that you didn't know you were looking for.

I work in mixed media: acrylic, gouache, watercolor, ink, and tactile elements that give each piece its own quiet texture. Every artwork moves through its own process - from a first feeling to a finished world - and carries something of that journey within it.

These pieces are created to be lived with. To bring calm, presence, and quiet recognition into a space. Not something you need to understand - but something you may already feel.

Each print is produced with care through a trusted print-on-demand process, so that wherever you are, the work arrives with the same quiet intention as if it had left the studio by hand.
